Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
NestHub ("we", "our", or "us") is a family dashboard application that helps families manage calendars, grocery lists, expenses, and more. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using NestHub, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use NestHub:
- Account information: Your name and email address, collected via Google OAuth.
- Family data: Family name and the roles (parent or child) of family members you invite.
- Children profiles: Names, birthdays, gender, school details, grades, and any allergy or health notes you choose to enter.
- Pet profiles: Pet name, type, breed, birthday, weight, and veterinary information you choose to enter.
- Calendar events: Event titles, descriptions, start and end times, and recurrence settings.
- Google Calendar data: When you connect your Google account, we access your Google Calendar to read and sync events (titles, dates, descriptions) into NestHub. We also write events back to your primary Google Calendar when you create them in NestHub. See Section 5 for our Google API disclosure.
- Grocery items: Item names, quantities, and categories in your shared grocery lists.
- Expense records: Expense amounts, categories, dates, and descriptions.
- Device tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your device's Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to send you event reminders and family updates.
- Usage data: Basic interaction logs (e.g., timestamps of actions) used to maintain and improve the service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the NestHub application and its features.
- Sync your family's calendar with Google Calendar (reading your existing events and writing new ones on your behalf).
- Send push notifications for family events and reminders, where you have granted permission.
- Identify you and your family across devices and sessions.
- Respond to support requests you send to us.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
NestHub relies on the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — provides authentication and the database that stores all your family data. See supabase.com/privacy.
- Google — provides OAuth sign-in and the Google Calendar API used for calendar sync. See policies.google.com/privacy.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — provided by Google, used to deliver push notifications to Android devices.
- Cloudflare — provides hosting, CDN, and edge delivery for both this website and the NestHub application. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
5. Google API Disclosure
NestHub's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, NestHub accesses your Google Calendar only to:
- Read existing calendar events and display them in your NestHub family calendar.
- Create new calendar events in your primary Google Calendar when you add events in NestHub.
- Update or delete Google Calendar events when you modify or remove them in NestHub.
We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the calendar sync feature you explicitly requested.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your NestHub account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at nesthub.support@gmail.com and we will process your request within 30 days.

NestHub allows parents and guardians to create and manage profiles for their children within the app. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. All accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian who is responsible for the data they enter on behalf of their children.
